Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural comes from over 1200 small-holder producers living around the town of Daya Bensa in the Sidama region. This organically produced, naturally processed coffee was sourced from our partners at Unravel Coffee Merchants and Ardent Coffee Export. Ardent is heavily involved in the local community, building a road to aid in transportation, a local elementary school and the Shanta Golba washing station. Additionally, training on agronomy and cherry harvesting is provided to producers in the area.
Our newest lot of Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural is a vibrant and dynamic coffee, bursting with complexity and depth across the roast spectrum. Light to medium roasts highlight exceptional florality and bright, fruit-forward character, with notes of lavender, boysenberry, Madagascar vanilla, and honey, all wrapped in a creamy mouthfeel and balanced acidity. Roasted darker, this coffee transforms into a rich, syrupy cup with deep notes of pomegranate, mixed berry jam, dark chocolate, cola, and a warm, buttery pie crust. Whether enjoyed as drip coffee or a single-origin espresso, Shanta Golba delivers a refined yet expressive experience, perfect on its own or blended to add fruit and complexity.
