This naturally processed coffee comes to the Bellwether Marketplace as a special nano-lot from Pola’s Coffee Family Farms in Juayúa, El Salvador. The farm is headed by 5th-generation coffee producer Carlos Pola, who is heralded for his commitment to regenerative and sustainable production practices. Processes like harvesting rainwater, soil regeneration, shade drying, and the propagation of mycorrhizae sustain the environmental health of the farm while improving cup quality.
The El Salvador Limonares Natural is an exciting new offering for those seeking an expressive, vibrant, and complex coffee experience. It showcases remarkable intensity and depth across all roast levels. At lighter roasts, it is bright and fruit-forward, with a juicy mouthfeel and flavors of rose, pomegranate, tart cherry, and wild strawberry. Subtle notes of honey and turbinado sugar adds balance to its lively profile. Darker roasts reveal a rich, syrupy texture and layers of sweetness. Notes of red wine, hibiscus, dark chocolate, amarena cherries, and toasted almonds dominate, creating a full-bodied coffee with robust sweetness and depth. This coffee works exceptionally well as a pour-over, delivering a bright, fruity, and expressive cup. It also shines as an espresso, with a syrupy body and decadent flavors of chocolate-covered raspberries and dark honey, making it a versatile and captivating coffee.
